    This website is a one-stop shop for counter terrorism information in New South Wales (NSW). It aims to create a central online location for policy information, tools and advice in relation to counter terrorism matters.

    • To produce a central location for counter terrorism information, tools and advice for the NSW community
    • To inform the NSW community about counter terrorism arrangements including prevention, preparedness, response and recovery strategies
    • To increase participation of the community and business in prevention and preparedness activities to counter terrorism
    • To communicate important information before/during/after an incident, and support recovery efforts online

  • Who has developed this website?

    secureNSW is a joint initiative by the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet’s Security and Recovery Branch and the NSW Police Force’s Counter Terrorism & Special Tactics Command.

    The whole of the NSW community is the target audience for the secureNSW website.

    Within this broad audience there are specific groups for whom information and tools have been developed including:

    • Communities likely to be impacted by the new terrorism powers, or who may be the victims of terrorism or politically motivated violence
    • Owners and/or operators of places of mass gathering
